The TASER® X26C ECDs are Civilian Tasers and have close to 100% effectiveness rating. It combines the non lethal self defense benefits of traditional stun technology with a an innovation in stopping power with new Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD) technology. In police studies, the TASER X26C was rated with higher instant incapacitation rates than a 9mm hand gun.
TASER X26C, Civilian Tasers shoot out 2 darts attached to 15 feet of wire. 50,000 volts travel over the wires
and overrides the central nervous system, providing incredible takedown power.

The TASER® X26C Electronic Control Device (ECD) is equipped with field-tested TASER technology and gives you the same unprecedented takedown power trusted by thousands of police officers every day. This powerful Neuromuscular Incapacitation technology can stop even the most aggressive individuals, including those under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

TASER® ECD Civilian Tasers use replaceable cartridges containing compressed nitrogen to fire two darts, attached to two 15 foot (4.5 meter) insulated wires. Energy is sent over the wires into the darts, which can penetrate up to two cumulative inches of clothing. The charge is then transmitted to the two darts, jamming sensory and motor functions, and inhibiting muscular control. This NMI effect continues in 5-10 second cycles each time you press the trigger. The X26C ECD can also be used as a direct contact stun gun. The X26C also uses Laser sight and Illuminator Integration with user configurable settings. A Central Information Display indicates battery level, a countdown timer for activation and warranty information. The X26C ECD Civilian Tasers are also software upgradeable.
