The Use of Self Defense Products

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Was someone you know attacked and could have been helped by Pepper Spray, a Stun Gun or even a  Taser? ( some people spell it Tazer but it’s with an s ). People now know that there are ways to protect themselves without becoming a martial arts master or having to carry a gun. The use of stun guns and pepper spray for personal protection is becoming a popular alternative. Maybe because they are non lethal. People don’t really want to kill someone, even if they’re being attacked, they just want to protect themselves. Guns aren’t even the best personal defense, many people can’t get them out fast enough when surprised  and end up getting shot with their own weapon. There are stun guns and pepper sprays now that you can carry right in your hands, small enough that a preditor would never know it’s there and that it’s ready to use. And you can keep your conscience clean knowing you didn’t have to kill anyone.

Alarms are a big subject too. The need for alarm systems or other home protection equipment is on peoples minds a lot. Has your place ever been broken into? It happens. Maybe you could have used some kind of alarm system or even just a special alarm, like a door alarm. People are thinking a lot about security products, with crime on the rise in most places, most people feel the need for some type of home alarm. Carrying personal alarms, like electronic whistles, is becoming very popular too. These are alarms you can carry in your pocket, some can attach to a bag or briefcase and make incredibly loud noises when they’re set off.

Knowing the ways you can protect yourself is very important these days, protecting our children is important too, thats why a pool alarm is a real necessity. kids fall into pools all the time, even pets. Protecting yourself and your family can mean more than against an attack, sometimes it can also mean seeing what’s going on when your not there.

The subject of surveillance systems for the home, like nanny cams, is big but thats on another blog page.
